BitrotX for Windows
===================

## Installation

Most Windows users should use the installer (.msi) available on the webpage
rather than following these instructions. This will automatically install the
plugins and make them available to all users on your system.

Alternatively, if you would like to install the plugins from this bundle
manually, you can follow the instructions below.

### CLAP plugins

- Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\CLAP\
- Move the BitrotX [Name].clap folders from this bundle to that folder

### LV2 plugins

- Navigate to %APPDATA%\LV2\
- Move the BitrotX.lv2 folder from this bundle to that folder

### VST3 plugins

- Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\VST3\
- Move the BitrotX [Name].vst3 folders from this bundle to that folder

## Plugin hosts

You will need a plugin host to run the plugins. If you are a musician, you
should already have one. If not, here are some that I can recommend.

- Ardour: <https://ardour.org/>
- Carla: <https://kx.studio/Applications:Carla>
- Reaper: <https://www.reaper.fm/>
- Bitwig: <https://www.bitwig.com/>
- Renoise: <https://renoise.com/>
- Ableton: <https://www.ableton.com/en/>
