Puritans
English Puritans are often discounted as wild religious fanatics. In reality, they were a historically significant group of disciplined and cultured people.
Regardless of one’s faith, there is value in understanding Puritan thinking and absorbing the sober collection of writings they have left behind. If nothing else, it is an interesting window into the past. I’d like to shove a bunch of writings here on some point.
